What are we looking for?
We are looking for a “Project Officer” to work with the NHS across the Greater Manchester region, but to be based at a prestigious location in the centre of Rochdale. We require the successful candidate to have their own reliable transport, as they will be expected to travel Greater Manchester.
The position is a full time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The purpose of the Project Officer role is to support the management of the broad range of projects within the NHS. This is a generalist role with the responsibility that include deputising for the Programme Manager in a range of high profile environments as required. The project officer will use proven methodologies to effectively support management of the projects, including producing comprehensive reports and maintain a range of detailed project registers.
With the Project manager, plan and monitor the projects, maintain and updating plans as required
Identify and support management of project risks, including the development of contingency plans, report on project progress through agreed mechanisms
Undertake the logging and resolution of issues which arise obtaining appropriate approvals, and seeking advice where necessary
Support management of overall progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary, within limits of delegated responsibility.
Identify and obtain any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project
Manage project-specific administration
The right candidate will have:
Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experiment of working
Knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as, Word, Outlook, Project, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of administrative and project management procedures
Basic knowledge of project principles
Evidence of experience within an NHS environment
Registered PRINCE2 practicing or similar project management qualification
