In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Care Service. Following a review of the Administrative and Business Support function across the service, we have created a number of generic posts of Prevention and Business Support Assistant. You will join a committed and hardworking team in a challenging and rewarding role, providing a range of business support functions across the whole of the service, including (but not restricted to) Specialist Services, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, Commissioning, Community Mental Health, DOLS, Community Occupational Therapy, Handling and Sensory (COTHS) and Prevention Services. 

You will need to be a good communicator, be adaptable, pro-active and flexible in your approach and be able to work well under pressure, as all services within Adult Care are extremely busy. Candidates will be expected to rotate between teams and work at any Adult Care location across the Borough, in addition to Number One Riverside. 

You will need to be highly motivated and hardworking and must be able to demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines by being able to work efficiently and accurately. 

The ability to produce accurate and timely minutes from multi-disciplinary meetings will be an important part of this role. In return, we offer flexible working conditions, 23 days holiday and the opportunity for training and progression. 

There are a number of temporary and permanent posts available. There is one post that is 30 hours per week and will be based in the COTHS team. The days and hours worked can be discussed with the successful candidate prior to appointment. 

Appointment to this post is subject to DBS and background checks.
