The Rochdale Hornets Sporting Foundation will be running rugby league taster sessions from Wednesday 3rd August with the first session being held at Rochdale Mayfield.

The sessions will be ran by qualified rugby league community coaches and are designed to give players a chance to come along and get to know the basics of the game. They are open to boys and girls of all abilities and experience.

Two age groups will run at each venue. Primary school ages will run from 10am-12pm and secondary school ages will run from 1pm-3pm.

Head coach Alan Kilshaw commented “It’s a great way to open the game of rugby league up to kids in Rochdale and we welcome kids who have even the slightest of interest to come along and give it a try”.

Sessions will run throughout summer and are as follows;

Heywood & Middleton :- Wednesday 3rd August
Littleborough :- Wednesday 10th August
Rochdale Cobras :- Wednesday 17th August
Rochdale Mayfield :- Wednesday 24th August
