Details:

One fine sunny Sunday last April, 374 walkers, ambled, sauntered and strolled along 7.25 miles, clocking up 5,726,688 steps, raising nearly £20,000 in for Springhill Hospice. This year Springhill Hospice are asking new and old supporters to do it all again.

On the morning of Sunday 30 April, Springhill Hospice will join together with Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham to host their annual Hospice to Hospice Walk.

At this annual event, now in it’s 11th year, Springhill supporters young and old, two legged or four, set off from the Broad Lane hospice on a 7.25 mile circular walk.

But why ‘Hospice to Hospice’? At the same time as Springhill’s supporters set off, Dr Kershaw’s walkers set off from Oldham, calling in at each other’s Hospice’s half way around for a cuppa and a catch up.

Last year’s 10th Birthday event saw 374 walking for Springhill and raising a record £20,000, an amount that broke event fundraising records! This year Springhill want you, your friends and family, to take part.

Entry to this event costs just £7 and all money raised goes directly to caring for patients diagnosed with a life limiting illness. The walk starts in Springhill’s beautiful grounds at 10.30am and finishes with hot soup and a sit down in the comfort of the Day Hospice.
