Rochdale Action with Asylum Seekers and Refugees and Rochdale Parish Church of St Chad invite you to: Listening to Refugees and Asylum Seekers

An opportunity to hear from those who have come to Rochdale and surrounding communities from various parts of the world

Saturday 9 November at St. Chad’s Church, Sparrow Hill Rochdale OL16 1QT

  • Hear from Refugees and Asylum Seekers. In small groups we shall listen to individuals and learn about their journeys to Rochdale
  • A wide range of nationalities will be represented
  • Hear from Churches, Red Cross, RADAR, and other local partners about their work with newcomers to the town
  • No charge for the day (voluntary donation / bring and share lunch). Disabled Access
  • Connect with agencies and find out how to get involved

Programme

  • 10.30 Arrivals, and refreshments.
  • 11.00 Welcome and introduction to the day from RADAR
  • 1130-12.45 Listening to Refugees 1
  • 12.45 Lunch (Please bring some food to share, Drinks available. Time for networking)
  • 1.30 Listening to Refugees 2
  • 2.30 Rochdale Cooperates: an overview of current work with Refugees and plans
  • 2.45 Conclusion Barbara Butler, Executive Secretary, Christians Aware
  • 3.00 Departures
