Rochdale Music Society Concert: The Meraki Duo

THE MERAKI DUO - versatile performers Meera Maharaj (Flute) and James Girling (Guitar) have become widely known for providing their audiences with exciting and colourful programmes of music varying in style from classical Rococo to Ragtime and beyond.

They will be playing:

  • William Alwyn – Selections from Divertimento for solo flute
  • William Walton – Selections from Bagetteles for solo guitar 
  • Claude Debussy (arr Hoppstock) – Beau Soir 
  • INTERVAL
  • Ástor Piazzolla – Bordel 1900, Cafe 1930 and Nightclub 1960 (from Histoire du Tango)
  • Rafael Marino Arcaro – À Norte, Rio Preto 
  • Fabiano do Nascimento (arr Meraki Duo) – Nanã
  • Misturada - Quarteto Novo (arr Meraki Duo)

Single tickets may be purchased in advance in person at Middleton Arena and Touchstones or pay at the door on the day. Bookings can also be made by telephoning the Box Office on 0300 303 8633, or online via the link below.

A booking fee of 5% will be charged on all bookings other than those made in person.

10% off if you book for more than one concert. 25% off single tickets for the wheelchair disabled, the blind and their carers. Proof of eligibiliity may be required.

This is the first in 2021-22 Concert Series promoted by Rochdale Music Society.

Rochdale Music Society has been providing the best in live music played by great artists for the people of the borough of Rochdale and beyond since 1980.
