St Thomas's Church
Situated in a prominent position overlooking the pennine village of Newhey. The church has an outstanding pulpit and font. In December 2007 the church suffered a severe arson attack. It has been restored back to its former glory over the past two years by a team of dedicated skilled workmen. The final part of the restoration is the installation of a replacement organ. This has come from St Peter's, a redundant church in Loughborough, and has been completely restored and rebuilt. It is presently being installed into the church and during the Heritage Weekend we hope to have regular recitals by our resident and visiting organists.
