Like many buildings in Rochdale St Clements’s has been stripped of lead, not once but twice.

Unfortunately the church tower is being renovated following a massive fundraising project in 2006 & 2007 and there is scaffolding in place. This invalidates the buildings insurance while also providing easy access for the thieves.

So once again the congregation is trying to raise funds, this time to replace the lead.
