Event: Charity Walk in aid of Walking With The Wounded

The Christmas campaign ‘’Walking Home for Christmas’’ began on the 1 December 2016 straight  through to 26 December 2016. 

Sally Clough is Captain for the public walk and has chosen a route to walk which will take place this coming Sunday the 11 December 2016, 10am-2pm to raise much needed funds to support homeless and other vulnerable veterans this Christmas by helping them to reintegrate back into society and regain their independence, through employment. http://walkingwiththewounded.org.uk/how-we-help/

The walk will start from Heaton Park at the Smithy Lodge Entrance (Golf Car Park) at approx. 10:30am, past Drummer Lee Rigbys’ Memorial  and on to Lee's final resting place in Middleton, where flowers will be placed. 

We will be visiting Lee's memorial on the way back to Heaton Park to pay our respects there also.
