DETAILS:

A new health service for children and young people is holding an exciting, free fun day in Rochdale to celebrate its launch.

#Thrive, run by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, is a new emotional health and wellbeing service offering support from birth to 19 years.

There will be a range of free activities planned such as pet therapy, circus skills masterclass, music and poetry, craft and art activities, smoothie making, face painting, sport and leisure activities and a mindfulness taster session.

There will also be the chance for children to meet and have pictures taken Batman and Elsa (from Frozen).

The event will run from 11am to 3pm on Saturday 25 March at The Butts, at the bottom of Drake Street in Rochdale, OL16 1EY (in front of the Regal Moon pub).

Activities will also be at the new #Thrive hub and other nearby venues, which will be signposted to from The Butts.

The Mayor of Rochdale will also be attending at 12pm to officially launch the service alongside young people from #Thrive.

“#Thrive helps young people to access the emotional health and wellbeing support they need; whether they’re feeling sad, stressed about school, experiencing bullying, lonely, having relationship worries or feel bad about themselves.
