DETAILS:

A free dementia communications course will be returning to Rochdale – after a first round of successful training last year.

The Empowered Conversations course, which is run by social enterprise – Six Degrees – takes a different approach to communication in dementia care that is designed to help people living with dementia and their carers to find ways to stay connected, handle emotional stress and navigate the day together.

Empowered Conversations training Emma Smith said: “If you’re a friend, relative or carer of a person living with dementia, this free dementia communications training gives you time to pause, reflect and find new ways to reconnect with loved ones with dementia.

“The course was really popular last time round and we would love to be able to support more people in Rochdale – so please get in touch.”

The full course is four sessions that will be held between 12.30pm-3pm on Tuesdays, April 24, May 1, May 8 and May 15 at Castleton Community Centre, Manchester Road.

To register for free or for further information on this course or others email emma@empowered-conversations.co.uk or call 0161 212 4981.
