Rochdale's magnificent Parish Church is open to drop-in visitors on Wednesday & Thursday afternoons until Thursday 26 August 2010. Arrangements to visit on a Tuesday afternoon can be made by special arrangement. There has been a church on the hill overlooking the town for at least 1,000 years. "A church from Saxon times still serving the Rochdale of today. Medieval stonework, splendid stained-glass. Guides on duty and guidebooks available. Groups by arrangement.
