Thousands of pounds worth of goods stolen from Naylors Equestrian

Date published: 07 January 2016

Thousands of pounds worth of goods were stolen from Naylors Equestrian on Mellor Street by burglars on 28 December.

Clothing, including brand names such as Barbour, Dubarry, Aigle, Horseware and Joules, and Bates and Wintec saddles were stolen.

The company was forced to close for a short time.

James Atkinson, Partner at Naylors Equestrian, said: “Although the criminals caused a mess and some damage to the store, we were up and running very quickly due to the hard work and dedication of our staff.

“It was disappointing to be turning away so many customers anxious to grab a bargain but following a restock of the shop floor, we welcomed customers back by 4pm and got our in-store winter sale off to a flying start.

“We’re grateful for all the messages of support we’ve received from our customers and we thank them for their patience.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Greater Manchester Police on 0161 872 5050.
