Andrew Fryatt joins Zen Internet as Managing Director of Small Business & Residential

Date published: 17 March 2016

Zen Internet has appointed Andrew Fryatt as managing director of the company’s Small Business & Residential division.

Mr Fryatt joins the company 18 months after the reorganisation of Zen Internet into three separate divisions - Small Business & Residential, Corporate & Mid-Market and Partnerships. Up until recently the division was managed by Zen chief executive and founder Richard Tang who will now concentrate on a number of special projects and Zen Internet’s long-term strategy.

Each division is well-placed to provide the support and solutions which best meet the needs of each customer group in an evolving technology landscape. Zen is already seeing the benefits of its new customer-centric business model with a record rise in revenue, with profits being reinvested back into the business to further develop its network capability service offering.

As well as celebrating its twentieth anniversary in business the company is now responsible for more than 100,000 broadband connections in the UK.

Mr Fryatt said: “Zen is a business that genuinely stands out in this market. Whilst others seem set on being the cheapest, Zen has always focused on offering the very best service to its customers, a fact recognised by its many award wins and loyalty of its customers.

“I was attracted to Zen by its outstanding reputation for delivering an excellent broadband experience. I am passionate about customer service and that Zen continues to enhance its service offering while helping customers to thrive in a connected world.”

Mr Fryatt brings many years of multichannel experience in the telecoms, retail and technology sectors to Zen where he will help the company to continue to grow by providing the best ISP service in the UK.

Zen Internet has won the PC Pro Tech Excellence Award for the Best ISP category 12 times scoring 94% in the overall ranking – 12% higher than its nearest competitor scoring 97% for customer support, 97% for reliability, 90% for speed and 85% for value for money.

Having grown from a pioneering ISP 20 years ago, today Zen is a multi-award-winning company which provides a full range of data, voice and cloud services to business and residential customers across the UK.
