David Harris, Company Director for Target Fire, helped raise £1,721 for the Rochdale branch of the Parkinson Society at an event at Hillside Golf Club, which was sponsored by Target Fire.
Target Fire donated a Compact Golf Trolley as a prize for the event.
Mr Harris said: “I have known Dave Richardson for many years, our children grew up playing rugby at Littleborough Rugby Club and he told me about his fundraising events for Parkinson Society.
“I told him that I raise money every year at my golf events and that I would donate this years to Parkinson Society.
“On the day we put envelopes on the tables and asked the golfers to donate with a chance to win the golf trolley.
“I also contacted my business manager Martin Hirst, of Barclays Bank, to ask if they would match whatever we raised and they agreed.
“On the day we raised £860.50 - with Barclays generous donation this made the total £1,721.”
