Date published: 12 May 2016

Local business supporters of Springhill Hospice will be putting in the leg work to help boost the collecting coffers on Go Green Day on Friday (13 May).

Springhill Hospice’s Business Buddies have been out and about visiting local businesses over the past few weeks promoting the benefits of joining the business support scheme and inviting them to join in the fundraising fun for Go Green with a final Friday push.

There are already signs of success with Sanderson Floor and Roof Trusses of Milnrow Road, Rochdale signing up for the scheme.

Steve Dobson, from Document Xl, is covering Kingsway and Queensway, Derek Dixon, from CLiCK Fire & Security is covering Milnrow/Littleborough, Robert Nugent, from Anthony K Leasings, is covering Middleton, Katie Bowmer,  from TBD, is covering Rochdale Town Centre, Ian Madeley,  from Gauntlet, is covering Norden and Edenfield Road.

Regular Giving Co-ordinator, Elaine McConnell said: “We have regular monthly breakfast meetings of the Business Buddies and they have really got behind this year’s Go Green plans to help make it hopefully our best ever year.

"It is a great networking opportunity as well as a chance to support the work of the Hospice.”
