Charlene Wallis nominated for Customer Service Award

Date published: 23 August 2016

Rochdale businesswoman Charlene Wallis has been nominated for the Customer Service Award at The Enterprise Vision Awards.

Charlene said: “It was a real achievement in itself to be nominated for the award.”

Charlene, from Syke, runs Diamond Dazzle Hair and Accessories stall in Bolton Market has a contract with many of the local NHS hospitals which means that she is able to accept NHS wig vouchers in exchange for Dimples full head wigs.

Charlene said: “I am delighted to say that I have just been accepted to supply wigs for Christies because of all the great customer feedback I receive.

“I understand what they are going through as my dad was ill with myeloma cancer for around 14 years, I was diagnosed with stage 1 skin cancer myself earlier on this year.

“I have patients who come here demoralised and in tears because they have no hair, people think it just affects women, but men are affected just as much.

“They leave here all smiles with their confidence back, It’s great.

“Many patients are still not aware they can have a wig from the NHS.”

NHS wig vouchers help people who have suffered from hair loss due to medical reasons. This includes those who have lost their hair through cancer treatment. Charlene is available for wig fittings across Rochdale, Heywood, Bury, Bolton, Wigan and Leigh for NHS and private sales.

The Enterprise Vision Awards recognise women in business from across the North West and in 2016 will be celebrating their sixth annual event.

Members of the public can now vote for who they want to win the award.
