KP Industries record order book

Date published: 12 September 2016

A number of high-profile manufacturing deals has helped KP Industries achieve a record-breaking year.

The Rochdale-based conveying systems experts are celebrating after posting more than £3m in deals for the past 12 months.

Contracts with Leyland Trucks, JCB, Balmoral Ltd and overseas companies saw KP Industries order book exceed expectations during uncertain economic times.

It comes just a few months after bosses at the Buckley Road site also signed a deal to buy materials handling company FM Nicholson which has seen the business expand into new markets.

Managing director Phil Cornell said KP Industries record order book stands the business on a firm footing with orders already stacking up for the next financial year.

He added: “In what has been another difficult year for manufacturing in the UK, we are delighted to have a record order book for the past 12 months. We have worked with some of the best in the business and established some great connections which we will build on moving forward.

“We have exceeded our expectations for the past year, moved forward with some great projects and received excellent feedback on all the contracts we have been involved in.

“We will now use this experience in order to move on to bigger and better things as we cannot afford to rest on our laurels as we aim to repeat or even better these results in 2017 in an increasingly competitive marketplace.”

Over the past year KP Industries have worked with global manufacturing giants Eaton Hydraulics, Benteler Automotives and C&F Automotives, providing them with bespoke conveying systems for their products and helping them overcome unique challenges.

Closer to home, the business has been involved in promoting and organising the Rochdale Skills Event which saw more than 2,000 school children from the local area taking part in a number of skill-based manufacturing activities.

The business has also rebranded itself and launched new website as part of its ongoing marketing plans.

Mr Cornell added: “The success we have experienced over the past 12 months has been down to the hard work and commitment of our skilled staff here at KP Industries but we are also fortunate to work with some of the best suppliers our incredible industry has to offer.

“Companies like Schneider Electric, Holloway Controls and SEW Eurodrive have also contributed to our success and we look forward to working together on a number of other projects over the next 12 months and beyond.”
