Document XL voted ninth most caring company in Britain by Real Business

Date published: 30 March 2017

Rochdale-based business Document XL have been voted the ninth ‘most caring company’ in Britain by Real Business as one of their ‘Philanthropic 30’.

The company is one of the smallest five featured in the list, which highlights 30 of the most caring companies in Britain who provide a dedicated corporate social responsibility programme (CSR).

Stephen Dobson, Managing Director of Document XL, said: “We learned about our award on Tuesday 21st March and we’re over the moon. I’m delighted we have received an award for being a caring, compassionate company, having been nominated in the National Real Business awards.

“Document XL came ninth place from businesses throughout the UK and this is something we are extremely proud of.”

Document XL were nominated for their fundraising initiative, Charity-Wrap™, which Mr Dobson launched in 2015 following his mother’s death. He was determined to find a way for local charities to receive the ongoing financial support they so desperately need all year round.

Charity-Wrap™ uniquely provides sustainable support for charities, enabling organisations to consistently support their chosen cause through doing nothing more than going about their business.

The steady income for charities comes from Charity-Wrap™ donating 1p for each colour page the organisation produces to the chosen charity.

To date, the scheme has raised £19,664.17 as part of Mr Dobson’s target of raising £1 million for UK charities, including Springhill Hospice, which is one of their chosen charities this year.
