John Cooke opens art gallery in Rochdale Emporium

Date published: 08 April 2014

Rochdale digital artist and photographer John Cooke has opened an art gallery in Rochdale Emporium.

The gallery joins a number of independent businesses to have opened in the Emporium in recent weeks.

John said: “It was a nice available space that was reasonably priced and in a good location so that is why I chose to open in the Emporium.”

The gallery, which is open Monday to Saturday between 09:30am and 5:00pm, is showcasing some of John’s work with the general public being able to buy prints.

John added: “It is to display my work and to give people the opportunity to buy my work.”

John has been open in the emporium for approximately one week and hopes to stay in the Emporium long term. “It is somewhere I would like to stay so we’ll see how things go,” said John.

Rochdale Emporium is located on Yorkshire Street in Rochdale Town Centre.
