Nicola Mee at Mini Mees

Date published: 18 June 2014

Nicola Mee, from Milnrow, who has just finished her Children’s and Young People Workforce Level 3 Qualification, runs a child minding business called Mini Mees and her new qualifications have helped her develop it further.

Talking about Mini Mees, Nicola explains: “I wanted to turn the business into a family one, with a family feel. As a result we work closely with the children but we also have a close relationship with all of our parents so that we work in partnership to support the children’s development.”

With the growth of Mini Mees, Nicola has needed more staff so Roger, Nicola’s husband, and Roger’s mother, Marie, have joined the business.

Both Roger and Marie are now also working towards their Children’s and Young People Workforce Level 2 qualification at Hopwood Hall College to help them in their new careers.
