Peacock Room featured in Sky Living’s “Hitched”

Date published: 11 July 2014

Fine dining restaurant The Peacock Room in Bamford, Rochdale is one of the venues featured in Sky Living’s new documentary show “Hitched”.

Marching down the aisle and into your living room this summer are several couples who are followed through their first year of marriage.

The restaurant and wedding venue provided the perfect backdrop for Caroline and Alex to say their vows, and celebrate their marriage, which they are now sharing with the 2.6 million viewers every Monday night at 8.00pm.

Restaurant manager David Bowman-Powell said: “They are such a lovely couple. I can’t believe its 12 months since they held their wedding here.

"Weddings are difficult events to hold at the best of times. You only get one opportunity to make this the best day of their lives. But, when you’re trying to avoid a camera crew and lighting rigs it’s even more stressful. It is however very exciting that we are exposing our stunning venue to such a large audience.”

The first season of eight episodes of “Hitched” are on Sky Living at 8.00pm on Monday evenings.

The show is also available on Sky Living +1 and you can catch up On Demand or through Sky Go.
