Yearsley Logistics shortlisted at the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2014

Date published: 08 September 2014

Yearsley Logistics has been shortlisted at the upcoming European Supply Excellence awards to be held on 5 November 2014 at the London Hilton.

The European Supply Chain Excellence Awards in association with PwC recognise and reward organisations that demonstrate excellence in the supply chain operations.

Yearsley Logistics has been named in the Warehouse Initiative category for a project run in conjunction with Aldi. This contract sees the retailer’s frozen food supplier base storing their goods at Yearsley Logistics Hams Hall cold store within a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solution; orders are picked daily to store level and distributed on Yearsley Logistics’ own fleet back to Aldi RDCs across the country where stock is then distributed to the individual stores.

Tim Moran, Director at Yearsley Logistics, said: “The recognition for Yearsley Logistics at the European Supply Chain Awards shows our ongoing investment in building super hubs and the implementation of state of the art processes, are paying dividends.

“Our network and systems offer the ability to service an ever changing supply chain market and react to customer demands quickly and effectively.”
