Ladies 4 Networking and Brighter Side Littleborough launch at Littleborough Business Centre

Date published: 09 October 2014

Ladies 4 Networking (L4N) and Brighter Side – Littleborough’s Cancer Support Group have launched at Littleborough Business Centre.

Ladies 4 Networking launched on Tuesday 30 September and Louise Abbott, who hosted the event, said: “Julie approached me about doing the L4N at the business centre after one of my other venues had to cancel and I said we would do to see how it goes and the first one went really well. We had a really good event.”

Ladies 4 Networking is an organisation that is dedicated to providing opportunities for women in business to network, gain confidence, new skills, support and to collaborate with other businesswomen.

Louise added: “Julie from the business centre was great with helping us. We weren’t too sure what to expect because we thought the venue wouldn’t be as cosy as some other places because it was a business centre but Julie really pulled out all of the stops to make it look great.”

The next Ladies 4 Networking event to be held at the centre will take place on 4 November.

Brighter Side, Littleborough’s Cancer Support Group, has moved its venue to the Littleborough Business Centre and will be using the centre to hold its regular meetings.

Vicki Harrison who runs the group said: “With the location being in the centre of Littleborough and with the premises being fairly new and modern, we thought it would be a nice, light and bright space to use for the meeting.”

Meetings held by the support group are usually two hours long with an hour set aside for the group to have conversations and an hour set aside to allow time for therapy and exercise classes.

Vicki added: “We can use a variety of space in the centre so that is good.”

The first meeting by the group was held on Monday 6 October with Vicki stating that the “event went really well.”
