A Java Bar coffee shop is set to open in Rochdale Transport Interchange.
Work began on the coffee shop last week with those behind the new development hoping it will be open by the end of the month.
A spokesperson for Java Coffee said: “Yes we are definitely opening in that area and if all goes according to plan, we’re hoping to be open by the end of the month.”
Leader of the Council, Councillor Richard Farnell has welcomed the plans and believes that Java will be a welcome addition to the town.
He said: “This well-known national chain will be a welcome addition to Rochdale’s food and drink offer and will create jobs for local people, which is great news. This shows the high level of confidence that the business community has in our town centre regeneration plans.”
Transport for Greater Manchester refused to comment.
