Chris Stern new Rochdale President of Chamber of Commerce

Date published: 02 April 2015

Chris Stern is the new Rochdale President of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

After seven years as vice president, Mr Stern will be taking over as the business voice of Rochdale from Delphine Greenhalgh, who retires after two years.

Mr Stern is the owner of Chris Stern Associates Ltd and has an extensive knowledge of the business world, politics and economics.

Mr Stern said: “It’s a great honour to be asked to stand as the Rochdale president. I enjoy being so involved in this area and I have hopes for the success of business and economy here.

“Following the great work of Delphine, I plan to continue raising the profile of Rochdale with the help of the Chamber, which is extremely helpful as a natural voice and vehicle for business.

“The areas targeted for improvement include education, the skills gap, transport and increasing broadband coverage throughout Rochdale. It’s a good feeling to assist positive changes in this great area.”
