Wynsors of Rochdale choose NSPCC as their charity partner

Date published: 11 May 2015

Wynsors World of Shoes has chosen the NSPCC to be its charity partner for the next two years. Wynsors has over 40 stores across the North of England and is encouraging its customers to get behind their aim to raise £70,000 for the children’s charity.

Wynsors have a whole host of other fundraising activities planned for the year, including two members of staff who took part in the Great Manchester Run on 10 May, Daniel Bergin and Dennis Farrell, a summer promotion and in-store halloween fun and games. They will also be asking staff and customers to support the NSPCC’s Bobble Hat Day in December and are planning a host of Christmas activities.

Commenting on the partnership, Daniel Bergin, Wynsors Sales manager, said: “We are very much a family orientated company and wanted to support a children’s charity. We really admire the work the NSPCC does with vulnerable children and their families and the whole team are very much looking to getting started with all our fundraising activities.”

Tess O’Callaghan, NSPCC corporate fundraising manager, said: “We’re thrilled that Wynsors has chosen the NSPCC as their charity partner and we are all looking forward to working with them to help raise funds. We have a wide range of services in the region where Wynsors have their stores, including 16 service centres providing services for children and their families, the free and confidential 24 hour ChildLine service, and we also have a 24 hour helpline for adults who need advice or who have concerns about a child. We couldn’t operate these vital services without support from supporters and companies like Wynsors.”
