Zen provides best broadband call centre experience in UK

Date published: 26 May 2015

Rochdale-based IT services provider, Zen Internet has been hailed as one of the best call centres in the country.

Zen received five stars across the board in a survey undertaken by consumer watchdog Which? investigating the quality of UK call centres.

The survey completed by 7,000 consumers tested waiting time, complexity of the phone menu, staff knowledge, politeness and helpfulness.

Zen scored five stars across the board and is the only broadband provider to score so highly.

The company boasts purely UK-based call centres manned by experts in the industry – a policy it says is responsible for the accolade.

Founder and CEO Richard Tang said: “Zen has spent 20 years working to provide the best service in the industry, so it’s fantastic to be scored so highly by those most important to us – our customers.

“We’ve never been tempted to move our call centres away from the UK as we believe the only way to ensure we provide the best customer service is to stay close to those we work with.

“Zen empowers its employees to handle each call in the way they see fit; no limits, no scripts, no passing customers from pillar to post. We trust every employee to represent Zen by doing right by the customer above all else, which is why our customers have also rated us five stars on Trust Pilot – we put customer needs before profits unlike so many other providers which, ironically, is what makes us so successful.

“Zen never rests on its laurels though, and while we’re delighted to be scored so highly we’ll never stop trying to improve our customer service and call centre offerings.”
