Andrew Nutter granted planning permission for new restaurant

Date published: 08 August 2015

Chef Andrew Nutter has been granted planning permission to refurbish the Bird I’th Hand pub on Bury and Rochdale Old Road, Birtle.

Andrew plans to turn the run down pub into a traditional pub and first floor luxury restaurant.

He is set to demolish the existing side and single storey extension and build new, single and two storey extensions where a new bar and restaurant will be located.

Speaking to Rochdale Online previously, Andrew said he was looking forward to his new venture: “We really want to take advantage of the views and the scenery because the views are amazing, so the champagne terrace will really give people the opportunity to enjoy those views.

"This will be good for Rochdale because it will create jobs for people and opportunities for people. We’re really looking forward to it.”
