Karen Wild wins Excellence Award from Honda (UK)

Date published: 24 August 2015

Karen Wild, a service advisor from the Swansway Honda car dealership on Queensway, has triumphed over her peers by winning an Excellence Award from Honda (UK).

Based on nominations from Dealer Principals and Service Managers within the network for April to June 2015, and with winners selected by Honda (UK), the awards are now in their second year and recognise individuals within the dealer network who have delivered exceptional customer service.

Karen was recognised by Honda UK for going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that she provides the best possible service to the dealership’s customers.

Having joined the network in 2008 Karen is a service advisor and key member of the aftersales team. She was acknowledged for her care and attention to all her customers, but in particular one who has been coming to the dealership since 2007. The customer had been due to bring his car in for a regular service and MOT but had failed to arrive; his wife had recently died and, concerned for his welfare, Karen arranged for someone to pop by.

The customer explained that he had been suffering from depression and was struggling to get of the house. The care and concern shown by Karen helped lift his spirits and encouraged him out of the house.

Ken Potter, Service Manager for Swansway Honda, commented: “Karen has a genuine interest in customer satisfaction and building lasting relationships with our customers and this Excellence Award is a well-deserved accolade for her continued care and attention. Everyone in the dealership is immensely proud of her.”

Nick Holmes, Head of Customer and Aftersales at Honda (UK), said: “Karen and the many others like her are perfect examples of all the people in our network I see going above and beyond to consistently deliver outstanding levels of customer service. These Excellence Awards are just our small way of saying thank you, and we commend everyone who entered for their passion, hard work and commitment.”
