The Secret Salon opens

Date published: 27 August 2015

The Secret Salon, a new hairdressing and beauty salon, has officially opened in Rochdale.

Located on Sandy Lane, the salon has been re-launched under a new name after having previously been called Cutting Edge.

Owner Sarah Connolly said: “I am really pleased with how everything has gone. Everything has gone to plan and we have managed to turn everything around in three weeks.”

Sarah is joined at the salon by Caroline Frost, previously of La Scala, Terri Adams and Tyler Smith, with the team having over 50 years combined experience in the business.

Sarah added: “To be honest, before taking this on, I was ready to give it all up but the girls came to me and this opportunity came up and it seemed like it was the right thing to do. I was also inspired by my accountant, Angela Sanderson, who sort of gave me a kick up the bum.”

The new salon will offer everything from hair styling to beauty, nails, eyebrow and eyelash treatments and sunbeds.

At the official opening of the salon this evening (Wednesday 26 August), guests were given the opportunity to explore the new look salon, meet the team and have a glass of champagne and some food, provided to the event by Benjamin’s Italian.

“At the minute we are just taking it day by day, so I couldn’t say where I want to be in a certain time, but I want this to be successful and I know it will be,” said Sarah.

Sarah and the team also held a raffle at the launch event, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
