Zen Internet moves to Sandbrook Park

Rochdale's leading internet service provider has completed a move to new headquarters at Sandbrook Park.

All Zen Internet employees are now working from the new location, in the building which was originally constructed by the co-op in 1995 and most recently occupied by Thomas Cook (formerly MyTravel).

The move brings all of Zen's staff under one roof, having previously been spread across three sites.

Managing Director Richard Tang said: "When I set the company up in 1995 there were four of us, today Zen employs over 290 staff and this additional 150,000 sq ft of high quality office provides a clear path for the continued growth of the company."

The new site houses a purpose built data centre with potential space for co-location of customer equipment and expansion of Zen’s managed hosting services.

Employee numbers at Zen have more than doubled in the last three years and the new building offers the potential for staff numbers to swell to over 1000.

The existing Zen Internet building at Moss Bridge Road will be kept due to the extensive network infrastructure in the building but there are currently no plans to leave staff there other than a security presence.
