Rochdale Hornets romped to victory completely outclassing Barrow Raiders at a gloriously sunny Spotland Stadium this evening (Saturday 18 April).

An in form Mike Ratu opened the scoring for Hornets powering over the Raiders line. Paul Crook converted.

Hornets increased thier lead following a bizarre passage of play that saw Crook walk over the Raiders line unopposed. Crook also added the extras.

More punishment for Raiders came when Ratu provided the muscle for Danny Bridge to dummy over. Crook's conversion attempt was wide.

Crook got his second try of the game with a trademark dummy from acting half. He added the two.

Raiders finally got on the score sheet when a fourth back-to-back set proved too much for the Hornets defence to resist and Raiders finally crossed the

Hornets line for a converted try.

However, Hornets finished the half in style with a try from James Tilley, converted by Crook, to give Hornets a commanding half time lead.
