Greatest ever Hornets 13 selected

Hornets Heritage have put players at the heart of their annual ‘Heroes of Hornets’ awards under the theme ‘Thirteen Heroes’ - and supporters have selected who they want in the greatest Heritage Thirteen.

The awards will be made at the annual Heroes awards dinner on Thursday 19 November at Spotland Stadium.

“Every era of the club is represented,” commented Julie Clarke, board member and lead on the clubs heritage activities.

“There is a real mix of exceptional players who played international level, to players with a long and distinguished service to the club and those who were only with us briefly but made a massive impact.

“On the evening we have prepared a biography on every one of them and we will spend time remembering the times in which they pulled on that Hornets shirt with pride.”
