Letter: How can we take Tony Lloyd seriously as our MP?
Date published: 14 December 2017
Liz Thirsk asks how Tony Lloyd can be taken seriously as Rochdale MP
I want to add my voice to the discourse regarding Tony Lloyd MP.
He was never the people's choice, he was forced upon us by the Labour HQ in London.
I have personal experience of his arrogance and refusal to accept his duty towards the electorate that he represents.
It is worth noting that several times he voted against the role of police commissioner before he abandoned his Stretford constituents to take up that very role. Then he made a bid to be Mayor but lost out to Andy Burnham.
How can we take him seriously as our MP when it is as clear as day that being an MP is not his preference?
It is little wonder that he refuses to answer letters or emails and cherry picks those that are invited to attend his surgeries.
The views expressed are those of the author of the letter and not those of Rochdale Online.
