Holy Family enjoy a Bond themed prom

Date published: 20 July 2016

The 2016 prom, with over 130 guests in attendance, was one the largest in Holy Family history and certainly lived up to the ‘Red Carpet’ James Bond theme at the Bolholt Country Park Hotel, Walshaw, Bury.

Students were thrilled to see a giant Oscar and Bond silhouettes decorating the room, kindly provided by ICE Entertainment.

The theme did not stop there with each table given a James Bond film name and a glitzy feel.

A spokesperson for the college said: "The most difficult part of the evening was choosing the coveted Prom King and Prince and Prom Queen and Princess with everyone in attendance looking stunning.

"This year the award for Prom King and Prom Queen went to Liam and Emily and Prom Prince and Prom Princess went to Aaron and Angel.

"Many other students received spot prizes, including Dru for bravely wearing his kilt. Following the meal and the formal part of the evening students enjoyed a disco and danced the night away.

"A huge thank you must go to Miss Light and the Prom Committee for all their efforts in organising the event and to the large number of staff, both past and present, who supported the event.

"Holy Family wish all Year 11 every success in whatever direction your futures take you."
