Holy Family Year 10s – you’re hired

Date published: 21 July 2016

Holy Family College held a 'Mock Interview Day' to help and support Year 10 students in preparing for post-16 education or training as part of their careers education, information, advice and guidance planned programme.

Students prepared for the event by learning how to write a CV in English, completing this exercise in their own time, and practising interview questions with friends and family.

Following their face-to-face interviews, the employers gave the students written and verbal feedback on how they could improve for next time, when they will be doing it for real when applying for college or an apprenticeship when in year 11.

As part of the process the students also completed their own self-evaluation to help them improve for next time.

A spokesperson for the college said: "We would like to take this opportunity of thanking all the employers for giving up their time and making the event successful."
