A weird and wonderful 'Alice in Wonderland' Flyer party

Date published: 20 July 2016

The Flying Horse Hotel was transformed into a world of the weird and wonderful on Saturday, as customers joined in to the Alice in Wonderland gin party.

Landlord Ben Boothman was dressed as the 'Mad Hatter'; other staff members dressed as White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts and Cheshire Cat.

Ben says the extraordinary party is just a taster of the things to come at the ‘Flyer’, and promises an exciting summer ahead.

He said: “The first event was Mardi Gras, which proved to be a real success. This time we really did go all out with Alice in Wonderland. A very talented lady called Jenna North decorated the whole place for us and transformed it into an Alice in Wonderland set.

“We are really getting into it at the moment with even more exciting events coming up. The next one is going to be a Willy Wonka theme with all the magic of the original story but with drinks.”
