Phil Jordan beard shave for Stand Up To Cancer

Date published: 19 September 2016

Phil Jordan is aiming to raise £500 for Stand Up To Cancer by shaving his beard off on Saturday 22 October at 11.00am at Fades and Blades in Littleborough.

Phil, who has cerebral palsy, dyspraxia and dyslexia, has previously raised money for various charities because he loves to help make other people’s lives easier. He volunteers at Rochdale’s Cancer Research UK charity shop.

After previous fundraisers included having his legs waxed and his head shaved, Phil decided to shave his beard next.

He said: “I’m looking forward to shaving it off so I raise the money, but also because it’s so itchy.

“I don’t know the actual length, but it’s already much longer than I thought it would be.”

Phil’s beard is usually much shorter and trimmed, but he has been growing it for 12 weeks and has raised £200 so far.
