A huge thank you to all parents who helped accompany our children from Early Years to the library on Thursday 22 September, as we wouldn’t have been able to go without them. All of the parents were fantastic in engaging with the children and reading with them. We hope to do more trips like this throughout the year which is only possible with the parent’s support. Thank you.

We were delighted to find out that 4 of our children completed the Summer Reading Challenge this year. All libraries encourage children to read 6 books over the Summer Holidays and complete puzzles and quizzes about them. There are prizes and rewards for every book that the children read. We are delighted that Mozin, Hassan & Aliza (Y4) and Alina (Y6) have kept up their fantastic reading skills over the Summer and have had lots of fun doing it.

Thank you to all parents who took the time after school to attend the recent Curriculum Meetings over the last week. We believe these are a valuable way of passing on information about the year and appreciate any feedback that we receive about how we can increase parental engagement. Parent meetings that were going to be scheduled for next week are going to be later this half term.

Our Year 5 & 6 children have been into Rochdale this week as part of their topic work. They had a tour of the Town Hall and also took part in a workshop at the Pioneer Museum. Their behavior was fantastic as always.

Our Year 6 children have taken home application forms for this year’s Head Girl and Boy. The whole school will vote for their favourite candidate next week.
