Students and staff at Hopwood Hall College held a ‘onesie day’ to raise funds for a charity in Josh McCormack’s honour.
Angela Holden, Travel and Tourism Lecturer at Hopwood Hall, heard of Josh’s heart breaking story and wanted to do something to try and aid his family’s situation. The resulting onesie day held by the college raised £558, with students and staff both getting involved in the charitable cause.
Unfortunately, between Angela hearing about Josh’s story and the onesie day being held, Josh’s condition deteriorated severely. Since Josh was given only weeks to live, his mother has requested that the money raised be donated to Derian House Children's Hospice.
Nicola McCormack, Josh's mum, thanked the college for their thoughts and contribution. She said: “The donation is amazing. We want Derian House to know how much we appreciate them during this very difficult time, it is such an amazing place and much needed for families like us.
"We’re very grateful for Hopwood Hall’s efforts in raising funds in Josh’s honour.”
