Tree felled by Storm Doris blocking Edenfield Road
A tree felled by Storm Doris on Thursday, blocking Edenfield Road, has been removed by resident Paul Ellison, helped by Rick Solan, of RS Landscapes.
He said: "I was informed about this tree falling on Edenfield Road. So, with being close by, I decided to do my good deed for the day. I did also inform the council of my actions, which they were grateful for and came to take away the debris."
No-one was injured when the tree fell.
A council spokesperson said: “The tree was quickly moved from the road, thanks the prompt action of a local resident and our environmental services team. Normal traffic flow quickly resumed.”
