Business Buddy BIG BREAKFAST, 8.00am, Springhill Hospice

Paul Hannah will be the guest speaker. Our corporate fundraising scheme ‘Business Buddies’ offers businesses in the community the opportunity to support a local charity and get something in return.

Jake Owens & Tom Fernandez, 8pm - 4am, Empire Rochdale

R.O.A.R. Acoustic Duo @ Empire Rochdale. Free gig. Over two hours of live music. Jake plays guitar and main vocals, Tom plays the cajon drum and backing vocals.

Teddy Bears' Picnic, 1pm - 2.30pm, Littleborough Community Primary School Nursery

Bring your teddy along to join the fun at Littleborough Community Primary School Nursery. Session includes storytime and craft activities

Held at Number One Riverside 10.30am-12.30pm, the monthly Governing Body meeting is where official business is discussed and formal decisions are made

Walk in the Park for Charity, 10am, Heaton Park

Ethar Relief presents... A sponsored walk for the forgotten refugees of East Africa.

RADARS Flea Market Indoor Sale, 10.15am for disabled / 10.30am for everyone else, St Vincent de Paul's

As is usual, we want our events to build on our warm and friendly reputation, enable visitors to meet up and chat over a cup of tea and bacon butty, but also go home with a bargain!

Rochdale Youth Brass Band Concert, 7.30pm, Bamford Chapel and Norden United Reformed Church

Also playing is the Dixie Band and Fanfare Team conducted by Cathie Brooks.

Walking Festival: Littleborough to Newhey Linear Manchester and District (20s and 30s) Walkers, 10:00am

A linear walk out of Littleborough to Newhey via Blackstone Edge and Piethorne Reservoir. Distance: 12.5 miles (challenging)

Step Out for Stroke, 10.30am, Queen's Park, Heywood

This family fundraising event is open to everyone, regardless of age or ability and the charity is calling on people to register now and take part alongside local stroke survivors and their families.

Branches Christian Fellowship Open Day, 1pm to 3pm

To make it fun for everyone there'll be stalls, music, competitions, food, face painting and bouncy castle. All free of charge with small donation to charity for coffee and cake.

Gordon's Little Gardening Club, 9.30am - 11am, Gordon Rigg Garden Centre - Rochdale Branch

You can make your very own scarecrow at this week's gardening club. Perfect for adding some colour to your garden and keeping the birds away from your plants. You can take your scarecrow away with you and even enjoy a drink or biscuit while you make it.

Kettlemania Comes To Rochdale To Fight Skin Cancer, Forever Strong Fitness and Performance

The event will consist of a 12-hour charity bootcamp at the Forever Strong fitness and performance gym, kettle-bell competitions, followed by an evening social at the Flying Racehorse.

Come and see what has been going on in the old police station, with refreshments and a children’s entertainer to celebrate the new nursery’s opening

​We're running an accessible cycling event, offering an opportunity for disabled people to do a bike ride.

Walking Festival: Rochdale/Saddleworth Circular - Saddleworth Peds Walking Club, 9:45am, Meeting point: Ogden Reservoir car park

A walk taking in Denshaw, New Years Bridge Reservoir, Oldham Way, Pennine Way, Dowry Reservoir, Readycon Dean Reservoir, The Rams Head Pub and Piethorn Reservoir.
Distance: 8 miles (medium)

Lee Rigby Memorial Ride, 12.00pm, Rochdale Town Hall

Rigby's Guardians will once again host the Lee Rigby memorial ride starting at Rochdale Town Hall then riding through Heywood and Middleton to the cenotaph for Lee Rigby's memorial service.

Discover the Middleton buildings of Edgar Wood, 1.00pm - 2.30pm, Middleton Post Office

Discover the Middleton buildings of the internationally famed architect Edgar Wood. He designed over twenty buildings that survive today
