Rochdale Free-Fest, Friday & Saturday, 6pm - 4am, Empire Rochdale
This is the 1st ever Rochdale Free-Fest. 20 hours of guest performances spread over two days

Bars & Food inside, Bar & Food Outside, Mexican food trailer, 12 acts on inside, 6 bars, Speed bars - fast service & huge choice, 10 ciders, 20 cask ales - basically a beer fest within a festival

NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG) August’s meeting will include the Primary Care Workforce Strategy and Rochdale’s transformation fund. There will also be updates from Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership; the HMR CCG finance team; and the Primary Care Finance, Contracts and Estates and Primary Care Innovation and Transformation sub-committees.
Fire Service Museum Weekly Open Day, 10.00am - 4.00pm, Greater Manchester Fire Service Museum
Fire museum attractions will be on show including our collection of historic firefighting artefacts from the 18th century to present day

Rochdale AFC v Scunthorpe, 3.00pm, Crown Oil Arena
Three stands are allocated to home supporters, Family Area, Dale's mascot is a friendly dragon named Desmond. You'll find him in and around the family area on a matchday. Make sure you say hello!
Rochdale Vegan Fair, 11am - 4pm, Rochdale Masonic Hall
In aid of Beauty With a Purpose, funding children's charity's across the world. Expect all Vegan friendly stalls, a place to sit and enjoy food, live music and more.
Littleborough Reading Group, 10.30am - 11.30am, Littleborough Library
Littleborough Reading Group meet once a month to discuss various authors, genres and themes.
Whitworth Shop Local Food And Craft Market, 10.00am - 3.30pm, Hallfold Reformed Church Hall
Whitworth Shop Local Food and Craft Market is based at Hallfold Church in Whitworth on the second Saturday of every month.
Ladies Open Pairs Bowling Competition, 10am - 5pm, Milnrow Ladybarn Bowling Club
Top class bowling event with refreshments available, free entry for spectators on the day.

Food Market in Littleborough Square, Craft Fair in Littleborough Coach House. The market will take place every second Sunday of the month
It's a Knockout Challenge, Falinge Park
The annual 'It's A Knockout' Challenge at Falinge Park in Rochdale gives local community groups, charities, teams and companies the chance to compete against each other on a massive inflatable obstacle course.
Ska vs Soul, 2pm - 7pm, Empire Rochdale
This event will be featuring real vinyl DJ's on two sets of turntables on stage playing proper 7" & 12" records, so the music you hear plays constantly (back 2 back).
Wedding Open Day, 12.30pm - 3pm, Mercure Norton Grange Hotel & Spa
Come and view our function rooms dressed as they would be on a Wedding day by our fabulous Venue Dresser! Take a look around our recently refurbished Bridal Suite and bedrooms.
Community Event - Rooley Moor Neighbourhood Forum, Noon to 4pm
We are having our second neighbourhood event in Lanehead Village (near the top of Rooley Moor Road, just before the cattle grid). There will be live music, clog dancing, food and drink and much, much more.
Hare Hill House and Park - good old-fashioned sports field day, 1.30pm
The next big family event - a good old-fashioned sports field day: Sack race Egg and spoon race Hoopla sack race - A real family day for mums, dads, aunties, uncles, gran and grandad. No age limits, up or down.
Live Band: The Micradotts, 6pm - 2am, Empire Rochdale
Sunday Club @ Empire Rochdale. 3 piece Mod/Punk/New Wave band based in Greater Manchester. A blend of Daltrey and Marriott throw in a sprinkling of Rotten and top it off with a bloody good pinch of (Our Lord) Mr Weller and you've got The Micradotts.
Family Fun Day, 11am, Middleton Cricket Club
Inflatables, donkey rides, BBQ, face painting, games and fairground rides.
Springfield Park Model Train Rides, 12.00noon - 3.00pm
We have many different locomotives running throughout the year, where for a small fee you and your family can enjoy the thrill of a journey behind a hand built model.
Plastic Patrol comes to Rochdale, Rochdale Canal
On Sunday 13 August, the Canal & River Trust will host a free paddle boarding event on the Rochdale Canal as environmental nationwide initiative - Plastic Patrol, comes to Greater Manchester.
Cricket: GMCL Senior Interleague Fixture, 1.00pm, Prestwich CC
The GMCL senior interleague team take on the Northern League at Prestwich on Sunday.
