Moss Row Community Allotments awarded ‘Outstanding’ for third year in a row at RHS In Bloom awards

Date published: 03 November 2017

Moss Row Community Allotments in Norden were awarded the maximum Level Five, Outstanding, in the In Your Neighborhood category for the third year running at the R.H.S. In Bloom Awards on Wednesday (1 November).

The Moss Row Woodland was included in the entry as the allotment holders work closely with the Countryside Rangers and the Green Volunteers to enhance the woodland for the community and the wildlife in the area.

The allotments this year welcomed visits from schools, art and photography groups and a walk through by the local history group.

Moss Row Allotments – which are council-owned but self-managed – can be found on land behind the now demolished, longest continual terraced row in Britain.
