Heywood Rotary expect a busy run up to Christmas

Date published: 13 November 2017

The Rotary Club of Heywood will be out with their Christmas sleigh over two weekends before Christmas; Friday 8, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December and also Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 December.

They are also planning to have the Sleigh in the Heywood Christmas Lights Parade on 17 November 2017. Rotarians will also be helping to marshall the parade.

The Rotary Club of Heywood's other Christmas activities include two full day Christmas bag packs and bucket collections at Morrison's Heywood on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 November.

The club is also doing Christmas hamper packing on 5 and 12 December and four Christmas Parties at Senior Citizens' accommodation - Springfield Court, Corcoran Court, Cherwell Court and Roeacre Court.

George Kinder from The Rotary Club of Heywood said: “All in all it will be a busy Christmas period. Our President Frank Coates and fellow Rotarians will deserve a rest and break with their own families for Christmas.”
