Care Week

What a huge success! The children and staff have had an amazing time learning more about how to keep ourselves and others safe and well.

As part of this week, all children have been trained in first aid and the children in KS2 (all 180 of them) have learned how to carry out CPR and use a defibrillator to save a life.

Can parents make sure that you ask your child about what they have been doing this week, as we have had yoga classes going on, investigations into the amount of sugar in drinks, dental workshops and road safety sessions to name but a few.

We would like to thank the parents who attended one of our workshops for care week. We think parents will agree that these were fantastic, and feedback was very positive.

The Citizens of the week are the whole school for their fantastic participation in all the activities we have done in Care Week.

Live lesson by the BBC

Our KS1 children were involved in a streamed live lesson by the BBC on Thursday 30 November. The Floor Manager was bowled over by their participation and excellent standards of behaviour and enthusiasm. There is one more session to watch and this can be viewed anytime on Monday, as it has been pre-recorded.

Foodbank assembly

On Friday 1 December our foodbank assembly was wonderful. Thank you to all of our families for their generosity in making donations of food which were received with great thanks by the foodbank representative. Thank you for caring for those in most need around us and for just being such a generous school community.

SEND Parent Group

Just a quick reminder that Justin Henderson (Rochdale Parent and Carer Information Officer) is coming to meet the SEND Parent Group on Tuesday 5 December at 9.00am. Miss Breckon, who will be the new Sendco from January, also will be available at the group to meet parents of children with SEND and additional needs.

Well done to Mr Nadin’s Class with best attendance for week ending Friday 24 November.
