Date published: 15 May 2018

Bishop Mark Davies, the Bishop of Middleton, was at St Andrew's, Dearnley last Sunday, 13 May to baptise baby Ethan, grandson of the vicar of St Andrew's, the Rev Rachel Battershell.

Baptism took place on a beautiful Spring morning, during Sung Eucharist and in a packed Church which also included worshippers from Wardle Village Church.

Bishop Mark will be back at St Andrew's on Sunday, 27 May at 6.00pm to head a Confirmation Service at which he will confirm candidates from St Andrew's, from churches in the Benefice of Littleborough and from Christ Church, Healey.

The annual Pentecost Walk of Witness, organised by Littleborough Churches Together, will take place this Sunday 20 May 20, leaving St Andrew's at 1.30pm for a service in Hare Hill Park at 2.00pm, led by Rev Rachel and other local clergy.
