Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) and residents in action

Date published: 09 July 2018

Residents and members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) joined forces to clean the back alley of Dunsterville Terrace in Rochdale on Saturday (7 July).

Residents brought out their brushes and joined REAG in clearing the bushes and intruding branches and weeds before treating the group to refreshments.

They also promised to keep the back alley clean in future.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Secretary of REAG said: " It is very encouraging to see the residents are contacting us to come and clean their back alleys and areas around their properties.

“As part of their engagement with the community and residents in particular, the group loves to work with residents who also join them. This is the only way to involve and engage the community.

“We hope more and more people would join us to make Rochdale more beautiful, and safer.”
