Rochdale Christadelphians

Date published: 12 July 2018

Our Bible Hour this Sunday 15 July at 4:30pm is on the subject of ‘Bible teaching about Angels’.

What do you know about angels?

Many people believe in a ‘guardian angel’ – others may have an image of winged and haloed shining men, probably on a Christmas card, or even the ‘cherubs’ which often feature on Valentine’s cards.

It may surprise you to learn that some of this is not based on what the Bible says at all – although angels can shine when God wants them to.

God’s angels are his servants – they can act as messengers, or helpers to the righteous.

For example, in Acts chapter 12, an angel rescues the Apostle Peter from prison and execution. Psalm 34:7 tells us that ‘The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.’
